Family Strengthening

The mission of the Refugee Family Strengthening initiative is to eliminate the social issues of domestic abuse and violence, and to promote healthy Hmong families. Program participants attend workshops and training on topics such as: the U.S legal system, intergenerational conflict and communication, parenting, sexual assault awareness, post-secondary education, and preventing early cultural marriage.

In addition, the ECAHMAA coordinates the activities of the Partnership for Strong hmong Families, a community initiative formed to provide opportunities for education to further strengthen Hmong families.
