Rice Pantry

The Rice Pantry is funded by the United Way of Greater Chippewa Valley and local donations. In order to qualified, clients must be low-income, be in an emergency situation, or be new arrivals from other cities or states.

The Rice Pantry is only opened on Wednesdays between 10am and 3pm. Families may come in to apply for the Rice Pantry and to pick up rice during the designated time. To apply, families must bring in the following forms of verfications:

1. Photo ID
2. Social Security cards for all household members
3. 1 month's worth of income verification for all household members working e.g. paystubs, bank statements
4. All household expenses e.g. utilities, car payments, rental/mortgage payments, etc.

Eligibility recertification occurs every 6 months at time which all forms of verification will need to be resubmitted to re-determine eligibility.
