24 Hour Translation/ Interpreter (fee for service)
The ECAHMAA provides interpreters for Hmong families and individuals with language barriers or limited education. Through the translation service, the agency can provide medical, legal, and other translation as necessary to the Hmong community. Other service providers throughout the Eau Claire Area, as well as the west-central region of Wisconsin, can contact the ECAHMAA to utilize the interpretation services for a fee.
Interpretation Fee
Scheduled appointments with 2+ weeks of notice:
Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm: $45/hr
Monday thru Friday 5pm-8am: $50/hr
Urgent (scheduled appointments with 48 hours' notice):
Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm: $50/hr
Monday thru Friday 5pm-8am: $60/hr
Emergency (scheduled appointments with less than 48 hours' notice):
Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm: $60/hr
Monday thru Friday 5pm-8am: $65/hr
All interpretation appointments are assessed a mileage reimbursement fee of $0.45/mile from the ECAHMAA to the location of the appointment.
Translation Fee
For documents, flyers, and brochures:
English-Hmong: $0.40 per word
Hmong-English: $0.35 per word
