2020 Election for ECAHMAA Board of President

Dear Members of the Greater Chippewa Valley Hmong community;

The Eau Claire Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association, Inc. is reaching out to you to let you know of an upcoming opportunity to join our Board of Directors in a leadership capacity as an office of the board.  

We are seeking interested candidates to be on the ballot for an Election to be held on Sunday, October 25th, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Hmong Community Center in Eau Claire.  During this Election gathering, members of the greater Chippewa Valley community will have the opportunity to vote for candidates to fill the position of President of the Executive Board.  The newly elected president will nominate his or her officer cabintet (vice-president, treasurer and secretary).  The new cabinet will be subjected to review of the current board.  Every cabinet member must submit an application and a resume to be considered.

Please submit a completed application by Friday, October 23rd, 2020 to have your name on the ballor for the election.

Recommended Qualifications:

* Previous executive board memebership

* Good working knowledge of non-profit organizations, and a true passion to make good changes

* Good connection or network with the community at large and the Hmong communities of Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and Menomonie

* Good understanding of Hmong culture, heritage and current trends/needs

* Good leadership qualities; servant leadership, people development/coaching, performance evaluation

* Knowledge of corporate or non-profit financial management, particularly grant funds and reports

* Active volunteer for ECAHMAA or had recent volunteer work

* Former employee of ECAHMAA with good performance evaluations

* Able to speak, read and write Hmong and English (President)
