Interpretation & Translation Services

Simply request an interpreter via phone call to our office at (715)-832-8420 or email office.manager@ecahmaa.org to schedule an interpreter for your appointment(s). Fees and round-trip mileage are charged from door-to-door. A minimum of 1 hour will be charged per interpretation.

***Please contact the Interim, Mao Xiong, at mao.xiong@echamaa.org if you have an on-going need for Hmong language interpreters and would like to discuss contractual rates.***

Non-Contractual Fees are charged as follows:

Appointments Scheduled (2 weeks+ in advance) 

  • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm ($55/hr)

  • After business hours and weekends ($65/hr)

 

Appointments Scheduled (less than 2 weeks in advance) 

  • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm ($65/hr)

  • After business hours and weekends ($75/hr)

 

Emergency Appointments scheduled (less than 48 hours in advance)

  • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm ($75/hr)

  • After business hours and weekends ($85/hr)

 

Over-the-Phone (minimum charge 30 minutes per interpretation)

  • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm ($50/hr)

  • Monday-Friday 5pm-8am, during weekends ($60/hr)

 

Mileage Reimbursement

There is a $0.56 per mile (round-trip shortest route) charge for services provided outside of our office at the location of the appointment.

Translation

Translation services are provided for the written translation of documents from English to Hmong or from Hmong to English. Translation of written materials is a lengthy process requiring time and attention to detail. Please plan ahead accordingly and allow sufficient time for your document to be translated.

  • Your materials translated from Hmong to English:  $.65/word
