Talents Competition Rules and Guidelines Agreement 

  • All competitors must be registered by October 31, 2019

  • All competitors must provide appropriate registration fee at time of check in 

    • Dancing Registration Fee: ​$30.00

    • Singing Registration Fee: $20.00 

  • Competition is limited to the first registered 10 singing competitors, 10 dancing team competitors and 10 Kwv Txhiaj competitors. 

  • All competitor(s) are required to check in at the MC's table, be prepared and be on time for the competition or otherwise withdrawal of contestant(s) will be made. 

  • Contestants must compete on assigned date and time!

  • No person may remain on stage during performance other than the competitor(s).

  • All competitor(s) must present themselves in professional way, and with reasonable talent. No dangerous acts will be permitted. The Eau Claire Hmong New Year is a family friendly environment.  No explicit content/lyrics are allowed. Costumes, choreography, and song choice must be suitable for family viewing.  

  • Any competitor(s) that is uncooperative, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, uses profanity or displays any actions perceived unacceptable by the Eau Claire Hmong New Year Cultural Events Committee Member/s or the competition judges will be disqualified from the competition.

  • The first day’s performance score will advance to the second day competition to determine the final places of First, Second and Third.

  • Talent competitor(s) competing in Eau Claire Hmong New Year Singing, Dancing and Kwv Txhiaj Competitions take certain inherent risk including but not limited to sprains, bruises, pulled and sore muscles and broken bones.  Contestants agree to not to hold the Eau Claire Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association, Inc, its officers, New Year Committee members or staff responsible.

  • All talent competitors give permission for Eau Claire Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association, Inc to photograph, use the pictures and/or story for current or future events. 

I have read and fully understand the rules and guidelines of the competition with the best of my knowledge. I also understand that the decision of the judges are final.
